Kid’s Holiday Shoe Gift Guide

Guide to the Best Shoes for your kids #giftguide #holiday #christmasgifts

I love gifting my kids shoes for the holidays because, A it is something they NEED and B, my kids weirdly get really excited about shoes! Finding cute kid shoe options is my JAM. I prefer finding adorable shoes and am more likely to splurge on a good pair of quality shoes for the kids, over clothing. I am sharing my top picks for boys & girls this year. You can’t go wrong with any of these and all brands I have personally owed & put on my own kids since they were babes! If your kid doesn’t get excited about seeing shoes under the tree, just say they were from mom & dad and not Santa! 😉

1. See Kai Run Everyday Shoes- This is topping my list this year, because these everyday high tops are SO cute! See Kai Run is sold right on Zappos or Nordstrom and has been a favorite brand of mine for years. The quality of their shoe is so good. I am obsessed with the design on the girl high tops and my boy choices go with EVERYTHING! *Bonus*- They are having an amazing Black Friday sale with savings of 20%-60% off! Marley’s shoes pictured below are only $36 (regular $65!).

2. See Kai Run Snow Boots- Since I love the everyday shoe so much, you know I had to get the snow boots too! If you live in a cold weather state & get snow or even only see frost, these are a must this winter. They are not only insulated and waterproof but one of the great benefits of the See Kai Run brand is that their shoes open wider at the top. I love this because my kids can put them on themselves (making it less of a hassle for us to get out the door!). They have some snow boots marked down in their sale also!

3. Hunter Boots- If you have followed me for awhile you know that I live in my Hunter boots and the same goes for my kids in the spring, summer and fall. The boots are not warm (unless you get boot socks) so I don’t think they are great for the snow, but, we live in these when it rains. I don’t ever worry about the kids feet getting wet and I don’t have to stop them if they are jumping in puddle. They offer so many classic designs and I just love the overall style of these boots. They are a bit of an investment boot for kids, but my kids typically fit into their boots for more than one season which is nice!

4. Tom’s Slip on Style Shoes– Another shoe that I buy for myself and the kids! Tom’s always has the cutest designs, both of my kids own multiple pairs. One of my favorite features is the easy slip on style. Marley lives in those rose gold Mary Jane’s they go with SO much!

5. Native Boy & Girl Sneakers– I love these sneakers! We don’t own any Native sneakers but the kids lived in their water shoes all summer. these will definitely be under our tree this year because Native shoes are so comfortable & breathable. I love how many styles they offer so if you don’t like these they have hundreds of color options and different styles as well!

6. Mini Melissa Girl Shoes– These are some of my favorite splurge shoes for Marley. You can typically find them on sale at Nordstrom or Nordstom Rack though! They smell like strawberries and they are just an overall great “girly” shoe. We have owned a few styles and Marley still requests to wear her Mini Mouse style that she wore in Disney. These do run small, I suggest sizing up one if you buy them.

7. People Footwear– This is a relatively new brand to us, we received their shoes this fall and we all love them! They slip right on and fit TTS. The kids can typically throw them on themselves with ease. Kellan has worn his almost everyday to preschool because they go with just about everything. In my opinion you can wear them for everyday play or dress them up! They also offer adult sizes and I love my grey pair!

The ONLY toy you need this holiday season!

Best Gift For Kids This Holiday Season

This Post is Sponsored by Fisher Price & Walmart but all Opinions and Ideas are my Own.

I know we are all gearing up for the holiday season and if you are anything like me then you are frantically trying to think of gift ideas for your kids, nieces and nephews and other little ones this season. One goal I have this season is to give back to families and children who are less fortunate and I will be on the hunt for something great to gift kids in need as well.

Walmart happens to be one of my favorite places to get our holiday shopping completed because the prices can’t be beat! One toy I will be gifting for my sweet niece this year is the Think & Learn Rocktopus by Fisher Price. This toy seriously provides ENDLESS entertainment for kid’s ages 1-4. Marley is nearly 2.5 and Kellan is 4.5 and they both love playing with “Mr. Rock” as we call him!

The tunes are interchangeable and your child can choose to increase the speed of the music or slow it down. My kids loved this feature! They also love that the eyes light up and the tentacles, bright lights and singing are always a hit! We have so many impromptu dance parties with “Mr. Rock” and I must say these kids have MOVES.

This is a perfect gift idea for the little ones in your life this holiday season. Dancing and singing along as well as interactive learning are a rare combination in toys these days. I always love a toy that actively tries to engage my child in the learning process. There are three learning modes on the Rocktopus:  Math, Music & Game. My son loves the math feature while my daughter prefers the music!

Below is a picture of the 15 different musical instruments that are included with the Rocktopus. I love that they are different colors as well because sometimes my kids like to only put the green ones or the purples ones on so this is a great way to reinforce color recognition.

It is very rare that my children do not fight over a toy but thanks to “Mr. Rock” they are able to play together to create music they both like. They take turns switching out the instruments and have fun following the directions given to them by the toy.

I’d say this is hit! Head to Walmart this holiday season to shop the Think & Learn Rocktopus and let the little ones explore their musical side while also learning!

Toddler Girl Holiday Gift Guide

Ten Gift Ideas for a Toddler Girl #giftguide #christmas

I am always on the hunt for the perfect gift for my kids and I had SO much fun finding adorable ideas for toddler girls! Marley is into all things girly right now but she can also still have a blast with her older brothers cars and trucks. What do your little girls prefer? All things girly or more “boy toys”? We encourage both kids to play with all the toys in our home and not the ones that may be labeled as “gender specific” by society. With that being said the majority of these are perfect for any little girl, but that doesn’t mean a little boy wouldn’t enjoy as well!

1// FlyBar Pogo Jumper– This is the perfect jumper for younger ones! The cushion is great for little feet and its extremely light weight making it easy for them to move from room to room. I love that the middle is more of a rope/cord so it makes for easy storage. FlyBar was kind enough to offer my readers an exclusive Amazon discount of 15% on this and more of their products with code (FlybarHol15) so definitely add this to your shopping list!

The discount code for 15% off on Amazon is FlybarHol15

2// Kidzoom Camera (Pink)– I talked about this camera before in this Boy’s gift guide. I think this is such a great gift for little photographers in the making! Our kids see us on our phones all the time and we are always asking them to pose. I think this is such a cute chance for them to have a little role reversal!

3// Fisher Price Little People– These are always a top rated toy and you can often find Black Friday deals on them! There are so many different ones to choose from but I love the sights and sounds play house. We also currently own the airplane and school bus little peoples set!

4// Disney Princess Dress Up Trunk– We are knee deep in alllll things dress up with both kids. They love to play pretend, typically Kellan is the knight or the superhero and Marley is the princess. I love that this dress up trunk allow for easy storage and includes some fun accessories!

5// Little Cosmetics Pretend Play– I bought this years ago for a family friend’s daughter and she loved it! Ever since then it has been on my wish list for Marley. The best part is how realistic the makeup looks without all of the mess of real makeup.

6// Piggy paint– Seriously obsessed with this stuff and so is Marley! This nail polish is safe for our little ones precious fingers and toes. It is non-toxic and smells amazing! This would make the cutest stocking-stuffer for a little girl.

7// Microphone & Karaoke– This is a must buy for us this year! Both of my kids are obsessed with singing and love making song requests in the car. Their favorite songs are always the songs from their favorite shows or movies. This is going to be perfect for endless entertainment on cold winter days! I am picturing creating a whole pretend concert with audience seats in our living room!

8// KidKraft Kitchen– We bought this two years ago for Kellan as a black Friday sale and it is still one of the kids favorite gifts from Santa! Marley loves pretending to feed her babies or wash the dishes. The sleek design of KidKraft kitchens really eliminates the dreaded “eyesore” larger toys typically bring and they are usually deeply discounted prior to Christmas!

9// Rocktopus– I have a whole blog post coming up on this toy! It is seriously the MUST BUY toy this season, you will be seeing this on every hot toy list! It is so fun, both Kellan and Marley love playing with this. I store all the extra pieces in a little baggy in our playroom and it makes it a little easier to keep everything together.

10// TrioKid Stroller– We own a stroller and wagon from TrioKid and the quality can’t be beat. Honestly, Marley loves this stroller. It is so realistic and she is obsessed with babies! The one we have has multiple configurations and comes in two colors. This would be such a great addition to add to under the Christmas tree and really give that “AH” moment on Christmas morning!
