Why visiting LegoLand Florida is the Best with Toddlers

Why we loved visiting Leogland Florida with our Two Toddlers

*I received complimentary tickets to LegoLand Florida in exchange for my honest review.*

LEGOS! Who didn’t love Legos as a kid? I was SO into Legos and I knew the kids would be onboard for a theme park that was not only FULL of ALL things Lego but also has a water park! We loved adding this trip to Legoland to our Florida vacation. I can’t wait to share more photos below and some tips!

First, I’ll say that when you book your Legoland tickets if you plan to travel during the warmer Florida months, BOOK THE WATER PARK TICKETS! After spending a hot day at Disney, we were all ready for some relief. The Legoland water park offered us just that! We spent so much time in the lazy river and splashing in the smaller splash pads. We ventured over to the bigger splash area at one point but my kids were still a little too young for it. They did love the boat launch area, this allows you to build your own Lego boat and then launch it down a water canal.

I really think paying that extra for the combo water park tickets is SO worth it. We spent a few hours doing rides in the morning then headed to the water park. Once we finished with the water park we went and did more rides. Kellan & Marley both loved the carousel, which greets you almost immediately once entering Legoland. They also loved looking at the Lego buildings, it was so impressive!

Visiting Legoland Florida

I was surprised by how quickly the lines moved at Legoland, This was key for us with the kids because we spent a lot of our trip waiting around in the hot sun elsewhere. Less wait and less crowds was much needed for us all. I love how close Legoland is to both hotel options as well. You can read in this post why we loved the Legoland Beach Retreat.

A few things to note, there aren’t a ton (at least not that I saw) of food options. There are a few areas to grab a quick bite in the water park area but mostly just hot dogs or hamburgers. I’m extremely picky with food so I did find myself leaving a bit hungry, this was fine because I just went back and grabbed dinner at our hotel. I also made sure to pack a ton of snacks for myself and the kids which came in handy!

Also, Legoland is open from 10:00AM-7:00PM and the waterpark is open from 10:30AM-6:30PM. We found that some of the shops and restaurants in the park don’t open until 11AM or 12:00PM. This was plenty long enough for us and we actually ended up staying longer at this park than Disney.

All in all, we had the BEST time visiting Legoland and Florida! We can’t wait to go back.

Staying at Legoland Florida Beach Resort

Best Place to Stay When Visiting LegoLand Florida

*A discounted room rate was offered in exchange for my honest review.*

Staying at Legoland Beach Retreat was high on my priority list when organizing our Florida vacation. I had seen amazing reviews and photos of the Beach Retreat and boy were they right! The retreat features bungalow style housing (designed to resemble real legos!) In between all of the bungalow style rooms is a small playground perfect for kids.

From the rooms, to the pool, to the beautiful landscaping done at the property literally no detail goes forgotten.

I’d have to say one of the biggest reasons I wanted to stay at the beach retreat was the rooms! Take a look at our room below. I loved that there was two separate spaces for the parents and the kids. This is a must for our family when traveling. There is also an outdoor area which we loved hanging out in at night or early in the morning.

The rooms also come equipped with plenty of legos for kids! My kids really got a kick of this and the legos that float in the pool. The pool opens around 9:00AM and closes around noon for a few hours. It then re-opened around 4:00PM for those wanting an afternoon swim!

The proximity to Legoland can’t be beat! They offer shuttles to get you and your family to and from the park all day (but it is literally a 30 second drive). I also loved the dining that was available right at the hotel. Additionally, we explored the surrounding town a bit and found plenty of other restaurants and shops.

We will definitely be going back to Legoland and when we do we can’t wait to hang out at the beach retreat! It it’s the perfect family friendly hotel.

Planning a Disney Trip? 10 Scavenger clues to surprise your kids Disney Boumd T-shirts

I knew I wanted most of the clues to be outside, so hoping and praying for nice weather was obviously key. This was the perfect way to tell the kids about our fun vacation we had planned. We waited until the day before we left to do the scavenger hunt so the anticipation nearly did me in!

If you want to see tips on how I put these clues together, check out my highlighted Instagram stories (labeled Disney) and I’ll be sure to link some of the products I used below.

  1. Clue # 1- Here is the first of ten clues, work together and you can’t lose. Start where you take a snooze! (Clue led to Mickey & Minnie PJs)
  2. Now head downstairs where you play. The next clue flies high everyday! (Clue led to the playroom and I hid a few toy airplanes)
  3. Into the play house you must go! Look where you slide, search high and search low. (Led outside to their playhouse and I hid a mickey & minnie hat)
  4. I hope this clue doesn’t leave you stuck, look on the deck for a big truck! (I hid a Disney themed towel in big toy truck on our deck)
  5. We’re halfway now, almost there! I’d start searching under a green chair! (Hid two Disney themed sippy cups under our deck furniture)
  6. Now that we are outside enjoying the day, check in the sandbox where you often play. (Hid sunglasses in the sand box)
  7. A suitcase is ready, on the double! Find your next clue by the bubbles. (I hid two travel sized kid backpacks by a bucket of bubbles on our deck)
  8. The safari roads lead to our garage, I wonder if the next clue involves our lodge? (Clue was in our garage and it was these Disney Bound shirts)
  9. Go Ahead! Do a big twirl, because Kellan & Marley are headed to…. (clue was a big wrapped box which had balloons and our Disney magic bands)
  10. DISNEY WORLD! (Taped to the inside of the box)
